No-nonsense, help-to-buy scheme

Starting a small business isn’t easy, but Snap-on can help. For many of our franchisees, securing financing is an important part of the process. We are one of the few franchise companies that offers in-house financing, which offers business loans to fund the purchase of your franchise*.

To start your very own Snap-on franchise, you need just £9,000 plus your working capital**

For the first two years your business loan will be financed by Snap-on UK Holdings Ltd, interest free, and then our in-house financing affiliate will fund the remaining investment over a ten-year interest-bearing loan

  • Cut-out the high-street banks – borrow from us
  • Get finance from people who truly understand your business – us!
  • A three-month repayment break to help you as you launch
  • Weekly repayments mean there are never any surprises!

*Subject to personal circumstances
**varies according to individualized expenses

There are a variety of alternative financing sources for you to consider which may include your bank or cash payment.

Snap-on recommends that you speak with your financial or legal advisor to determine your financing options.

How much will I make?

Every potential business owner should answer the question “How much money will I make?” before investing in a business.

The national average paid sales in 2024 for the UK and Republic of Ireland was £400,682.48*.

Snap-on cannot guarantee or promise success, there are multiple factors that influence the ability to build a franchised business such as, but not limited to:

  • Effort
  • Skill
  • Salesmanship
  • Business acumen
  • Personality and drive of the individual franchisee

We believe our “Discovery” process gives you the information you will need to draw your own conclusion.  Part of your Discovery of the Snap-on Tools franchise is to determine if it is a good fit for you. Your Discovery includes a franchisee “Ride Along” where you will witness a Snap-on Tools franchisee operating their Snap-on franchise business. As a potential Snap-on Tools franchisee candidate, you will quickly realise that this is a customer relationship business and your ability to develop successful business relationships and operate the Snap-on Tools programme are key components to your level of success. No two franchise owners’ personalities are the same, nor are their expenses. Therefore, we feel it is appropriate for you as a potential franchise owner to determine what your sales, expense and income may be.

Prior to the “Ride Along”, you will be guided by a Snap-on Franchise Manager on an interactive online tour of our franchise opportunity, part of which we will disclose our estimated total investment, other fees and details of the average sales per franchisee* to assist you in determining your potential.

*Paid sales average is based on average amount of sales collected and reported to us by 279 franchisees that operated for all 12 months in 2024 in the UK or ROI.
